Notes
Symbols only represent the superficial axis of what we see, not the spirit of human activity. "Notes" is a series of transparent images layered over other transparent images to suggest a sort infinite boundary for expression. Human perception is what drives these images leaving it up to the viewer to describe their experience.
The "flying squares" are an anchor of suggestion to a context for this composition.

Space Travel
Changing the perception of movement is a reaction of colour. My self imposed formula is derived from a form meeting space and changing to meet spacial requirements.Eventually the "Flying Square" will become the same as its surroundings, adapting not disappearing. |

Boy Girl Boy
This piece is about colour and the dynamics of colour. These "things" that exist on these planes have linear movement based on placement alone. When contrasting and complimentary colour is added each image begins to vibrate using the picture plane as a conduit for movement. The positioning of each square determines it's dynamic elements which affects the viewers comfort or discomfort with the composition. |

This is the last of the inception of this series, yet to be named. The concept is movement and yet, these objects walk a thin line that could be considered static.

2 of 3
This is the second of the paintings created 3-4 years ago. Notice I'm starting to experiment with the shape of the THINGS.
Primary and Secondary
colours seem to establish a foundation for these early pieces which leaves allot of room for experimentation.

1 of 3
This is one of three paintings created 3-4 years ago that has those things moving in space. The black background is very void-like, I'm not really sure if the coloured squares are more or less dynamic with a black ground. I like the tension between the squares, the viewer is forced to assume they are on a collision course.

This is where it started
This is a painting that I did 3-4 years ago with intentions of creating a series. It's quite large, about 4-5feetx3-4 feet. The texture is wild and there is tons of paint on this piece. I used an old painting which was on Mahogany door skin, so the edges a ragged and the painting it's self is quite heavy.
