Grant

I created this study as a way to remember and honor Grant MacEwan who I was privileged to spend time with when he was in his 90’s.

“Grant” is a pen and Ink (one line drawing) on paper.

The reason for the “one line” drawing is my belief that the image should not be processed but should come directly from my spirit onto the paper. “Grant” was created from memory and represents the essence of who he was and how I saw him.

Much more than a politician, writer or speaker Grant was a teacher and a mentor with the heart of an artist. His passion for the natural world and his simple admiration for the working man survives him.
