This is where it started

This is a painting that I did 3-4 years ago with intentions of creating a series. It's quite large, about 4-5feetx3-4 feet. The texture is wild and there is tons of paint on this piece. I used an old painting which was on Mahogany door skin, so the edges a ragged and the painting it's self is quite heavy.

There are 2 or 3 other pieces that are much smaller with black backgrounds, I just haven't located them yet. I thinks it's good that I waited to continue this series because now I have allot of new ideas which I will divulge as I go.

Minimalism is the operative word and style here and yet I'm wanting to incorporate certain elements of this series with other images.
